Pointy Toed Flats?!

By Lesty, age 14, Texas

Yes, pointy toed flats are the new trend! I'm here to tell you the ways to wear them that are HOT, and the ways to wear them that are NOT!

This season is all about flats, right? Well, here's a spin on old school AND new school. Pointy toed flats are sophisticated, yet comfy ... and did I mention CUTE?

The HOTTEST ways to wear this must-have is with skinny jeans, a skirt, or a skirt with leggings - you'll look like a fashion ICON. Another way to go is patterned flats. Don't go to crazy though, because the point already makes a statement. I've seen many cute patterned pairs at places like Hot Topic© and Journey's©. Good ideas for patterns are stars, hearts, or maybe just a funky color.

The NOTS are really quite simple. Capri pants with these flats = a fashion never! You're really at risk of looking tacky. Also don't ever, EVER, no matter what the weather, wear socks with pointy toed flats. Uhh, can you say "FASHION WRECK"? Socks with flats just aren't flattering.

The last NOT is flats with "toe clevage". I mean, come on, if your toes aren't hidden, you might just need a bigger size. It's just a must!

Well, good luck, fashionistas, and (who knows?) one day you might create your own trend!

Stay fabulous!
♥ Lesty
