Set-Squat-Ripppp!

When I turned 16 my sister decided that I was old enough to play volleyball with her. We usually go play volleyball at "The Shed" every Friday night, and we'd stay out till 11 just hanging out and having fun. This one particular time it was about mid-January and rather cold. My sister was in gym shorts, sweatpants and a t-shirt. I was in jeans and a hoody. A bunch of people got together and we started a game.

I was in the middle of the back row and the ball was coming straight for my face, so I backed up and squatted down into the proper form to hit the ball when I heard a ripping noise. I stood up and didn't think too much about it until I felt a huge draft of cold air hit the back of my legs.

I had torn my pants, starting at the top of the back right pocket and going down to mid-thigh! I started to panic not really knowing what to do! I quickly took off my hoody and wrapped it around my waist and calmly walked over to my sister. Everybody on my team started yelling, "Sarah, where are you going? We aren't done yet!" but I just ignored them and kept walking.

When I got to my sister I looked at her straight in the eyes and said, "Beverly, give me your sweatpants." She just looked at me with a questioning look on her face, and I continued, "Just trust me, Bev. Give me your pants."

So she quickly took off her sweatpants and gave them to me, and I went to the bathroom (which was a port-a-potty) and changed. When I came back everybody just looked at me and started laughing 'cause by this time they'd all figured what had happened. I was so humiliated!
