you're holding back. I'm left standing there. nothing but the silent chill of the breeze across my face, waiting on all the words I long to hear that you will never say.

time is slipping away, we won't get it back
time is slipping away, we can't get it back
moments without you are breaking me in two
time is slipping.

pretending not to notice the distant look on your face, and yet still hoping for things to change, but neither one of us makes a move. we just stand still, silent and frozen.

time is slipping away, we won't get it back
time is slipping away, we can't get it back
are you ever coming back?
time is slipping ... slipping ... not coming back.

secrets kept hidden will rise again with the sun.
time is slipping ... slipping further away.
