Rihanna: Girl's Got Style

By Nadia, age 18, North Carolina

Rihanna has made a big fashion transformation since her debut with Pon De Replay back in 2005. I'm not saying she couldn't dress back then, in her cropped tops and signature baggy pants with her underwear exposed, but the young diva has grown up a lot with her style since the release of her third album Good Girl Gone Bad.

Rihanna always keeps up with the latest in the fashion world, but she makes sure to add a signature piece to everything she wears, like the gold pistol necklace she wore with a Herve Leger dress to the 2007 BET Awards. Another memorable piece of fashion worn by the young starlet would have to be the Dsquared2 black leather boots with a gold set of brass knuckle heels she wore during a taping of BET's 106 & Park. Not many people would be able to pull that off, but of course Rihanna can. Or, how about the hot pink dress she wore to the MTV Awards in 2007? That dress received a lot of buzz on the hotlist that week. Any other person would have looked like a walking bottle of Pepto Bismol, but she looked stunning.

Rihanna knows how to dress sexy, but keeps it classy because she is an influence to younger girls. It is rumored that she will be launching a clothing line very soon. Keep checking back for more info on that!
