Until the Crow Cries (My Addiction)
By Tess, age 15, Florida
Do you think that I'm addicted,
To your scent and to your touch?
Why must I have a label,
Just because I love you so much?
Sometimes I just wonder,
If you are who you say,
Sometimes I just wonder,
If your mind has gone astray.
Into worlds of complete madness,
That keeps my addiction on a string,
Your love is in my blood,
Insanity it does bring.
I stay awake at night,
Wondering if you do the same,
I haven't dreamt in ages,
And your beauty I do blame.
You have the river of muscles,
Hair as blonde as gold,
Eyes of evergreen,
And a personality ever bold.
Sometimes I just wonder,
If you are as real as you seem,
Sometimes I just wonder,
If you are nothing but a dream.
You are my dark prince,
So many mysteries behind those eyes,
I will find out every one,
Until I have my final surmise.
Goodnight my sweet darling,
It is time for me to go,
So I can dream of my addiction,
Until the cry of the crow.
