Fashionista for Less: Fall Looks

By Jasmine, age 14, Michigan

If you ask anyone, the runway consists of bright colors and obnoxious patterns you would never wear out of the house. If you ask a fashionista about the runway, she would say something along the lines of "The runway is where dreams are. You see it through the designer's creations." A favorite quote of mine by Elsa Schriaparelli: "In difficult times, fashion is always outrageous." (And I'm guessing we're in the difficult times!) If you can't work a runway outfit, you can't work it at all. For Fall 2008 on the runway you'll see animal prints, long floral dresses, leather jackets, and my personal favorite - color (and specifically yellow)! Ready or not, fall is on its way in!

Last year it was matching your tights to your shoes. This year it's quite the opposite. All I have to say is bring out the bold color!

Leathers can also be a tricky thing to wear in the fall. To look cute and comfy, get an affordable leather jacket, like the one below from H&M, and you'll look like you just walked off the runway.

Jasmine
