Another Holiday Season
By Gia, age 16, Florida
Another holiday season filled with surprises.
We planned out every one.
Every jewelry set circled.
We guessed that we would be together for everything.
For every holiday we are bound to miss,
I hope it's merry.
You'll be off in one direction and I in another,
But I will try to smile, knowing at least we had some holidays.
Oh, how don't you love the holidays?
If only we had some snow.
Then, instead of rocks, I could throw snowballs at your window
With little messages tucked inside for good luck,
But that will only be in my dreams.
Another holiday season filled with surprises.
I love you and you love me,
So let's celebrate together,
Shall we?
