Life Doesn't End
By Tess, age 16, Florida
Life doesn't end just because someone says goodbye. Life doesn't end just because one door slams loudly in your face, the empty noise reverberating in your ears. Life is never ending, and no matter how much one thinks the world is crashing around them ... it's not. The sun is still going to shine, rain is still going to crash down upon the earth, and the stars will continue to twinkle against the backdrop of the midnight sky.
There is nothing I can do about that.
Love is not something that is just cut short. Love is a continuous cycle of pain and hope. Love is all of us, for we are love and with it we are able to love. Forever is not figurative, for with this love we are able to find forever.
Continue to search for love, for hope, for faith.
Continue to find a cure for pain, for indecency, for hate.
Continue to laugh, and to search for forever.
Life is short, but love is not.
That, in my opinion, is the meaning of life.
To find love and to search for forever.
