Hello, my Sweet Designs fans! My name is Kristyn, and I have been interning for Sweet Designs since June 2009. I help out by entertaining you with my articles that I write for the magazine, and continue to do so while I am in college in New Hampshire. This experience has been a blessing to me, and I am so glad to make the cover for this month!

I am 20 years old, and have lived in the same town in Massachusetts all my life. One day I aspire to have a successful journalistic career and live in the city that never sleeps, New York. I am currently working on a book about the life of a college girl, and hopefully one day soon it will be published.

I have a hidden talent - I can sing. Music is a huge part of my life, and one of the greatest gifts ever given to me. Three things I value the most in life are family, loyalty, and love. I was blessed with one of the biggest, Irish-Italian families in the world, and they and my friends have made me who I am today.

I am currently a junior at Keene State College, and the years are going by too fast. I take on 18 credits every semester, and I am always challenged between work, school, and being a social butterfly. However, I always manage to get by, and work amazingly under pressure. I am going to college to pursue a career in Journalism or Communications. My dream would be to write for a fitness magazine, or work as a news anchorwoman in broadcast journalism. With all this on my plate, I have many special people in my life, especially my boyfriend. He is one-of-a-kind, an amazing person. My friends and I are the craziest people you will ever meet. Sometimes I think we should have our own television show.

I love shopping; I am a shopaholic. When I walk into a Nordstrom I just embrace all the items and think I'm in heaven for a second, then I snap back to reality and realize I need to get a good job before I can have all this! I enjoy reading a lot, but I find I only have time for it in the summer because I'm too busy during the school year. I also love watching movies and television, but sometimes it can be addicting, like the show Lost, which I could watch for days.

I personally believe everything is determined by fate. Everything happens in life for a reason, and that is why it is a beautiful life. Without mistakes life would just be plain old boring. I think living life in regret is no way to do it, and if you put as much effort into the positives as you do the negatives you will find success.

My pet peeves are laziness, people who are two-faced, and those who hold grudges. I am a gym addict, and need to work out at least 5 times a week to feel fit.

Sweet Designs Magazine really inspires me to be a mentor. The message of this website is awesome, and if every teen took just 5 minutes a day to read a few articles, they would be surprised how much they could learn. Without the opportunity to write for this magazine I would feel like I had a talent that never would have been discovered without Stephanie's help.
