FUN STUFF: POETRY

The Clock

By Pamela, age 25, South Africa

The midnight ghost
Lingers near,
As fate delivers
To us all -
A new year.

Propeller of time,
Observer of life,
Endlessly moving
Towards the light.

Each second
Becoming the past,
Memories left behind -
Lost in the dark.

This moment in time
Is all that is real.
The hand of the clock
Tick, tocks.

The hour is near,
The world is alive,
Let time stand still -
Just for tonight.
