Spring Break Fashion!

By Samantha, age 13, Indiana

It's finally time ... springtime, that is! The snow is melting, the weather is getting warm, and, *sigh* rain. Dresses, sandals and shorts - the best part of warm weather! Fashion-wise anyway... Here's your spring '10 fashion guide.

Capris and crop pants are great for spring. They're not long and hot, or short and cold. They're the perfect length, to keep your legs airy, but warm. You'll be very comfortable and cute.

Bottoms are available for $35.00 (left) and $25 (right) at www.ae.com or your local American Eagle Outfitters store.

Bottoms are available for $40.00 at www.ae.com or your local American Eagle Outfitters store.

Flats are great for spring, because they're light and airy. Basically every store carries them, and they come in so many colors and patterns. They look cute with crop pants too! (;

Zebra stripe flats are available for $10.50 at www.forever21.com or your local Forever 21 store.
Yellow flats are available for $20.00 at www.target.com or your local Target store.

Glitter flats are available for $23.00 at www.payless.com or your local Payless store.

Sometimes, spring doesn't exactly have the clearest days. By that, I mean rain. That's where rain boots come in. Target and Rack Room Shoes both have great selections of rain boots. Go out and grab yourself a pair. (:

Zebra stripe boots (left) and blue whale boots (middle) are available for $25.00 each at www.target.com or your local Target store.
Plaid boots are available for $40.00 at www.rackroomshoes.com.

Dresses are great in spring! They keep you cool on hot days, but warm on cooler days. They're great for church, or just going out with your friends. Now, I don't mean party dresses, or something you'd wear to prom. I'm talking about sun dresses. Target has a great selection. Cardigans are great over sleeveless dresses, or if you're just cold.

Dresses are available for $17.00 (left) and $20.00 (right) at www.target.com or your local Target store.

Dress are available for $13.50 at www.forever21.com or your local Forever 21 store.

Now that you have your warm weather styles, you can look amazing! If you need a little help on creating outfits, just look at manikins and pictures at stores - they help a lot! Remember: style is what you create; make it your own, and have fun with it!
