Tangled

with every word my heart falls deeper
until i'm gone and swept away
i'm standin' back
watchin' how this plays out
and with every end
there's always another song
left to keep me holding on
i sink into the lyrics with a sigh,
the music fills a sweet sort of ache,
an endless stream of comfort and sadness
tangled in the heartbreak

i'm waiting for you to no longer linger
inside my head, inside of me
and yet i don't wanna live
without missing you

and i try to turn away
just to find you standing there
with every word...
the tears, the heartache
my heart falls deeper...
the fear from the clarity of the reality
that i'm forced to face
i'm gone and swept away...
to give it up, to leave it all behind
inside my head, inside of me...
till my dying day
i just can't bear to walk away
i don't wanna live without missing you...
i'm missing you.
