How Do You Tell ...?

How do you tell the stalker in your dream to finally blink his eyes?
It's torture enough that you can barely sleep.
Please go away, hug the pillow, feel your stomach in your throat.

How do you tell your body to purge whatever it is holding inside of you?
You can't take the rapid changes and for
Them ... it ... they to be gone.
You aren't ready yet.

How do you tell yourself that these dreams and voices inside your head aren't normal?
You don't want to remind yourself of what happened last time.
See a therapist, see two, or ten - get help.
Who cares if you aren't cool in college?

How do you tell the image in the mirror
All the statements that used to be on the inside left panel of your closet?
You've gone years saying the opposite,
But you don't see what everyone else does.

How do you tell the boy from in front of math class that it takes two for this to work?
That you can write him love letter after love letter but a response is nice.
You let him in just like he asked and that you love him more than the stars.

How do you tell yourself to breathe, relax, and show the world you can handle it?
All you want is love and for those eyes to blink, disappear.
One night of sleep can make it all better.
