STOP! Wait just a minute before you grab that tube of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. Do you know what you're getting yourself into?

"Terrible, terrible mascara. The general obsession over this mascara almost makes me angry! It goes on like water, does absolutely nothing, and is a waste of money. The only circumstance under which I'd recommend it is if you have false lashes - in that case, it'll give you a nice extra boost. Otherwise, skip it." - Makeup Alley.com

According to the users of Makeupalley.com, they suggest opting instead for Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara, saying, "OH MY GOD!! What this mascara does to my lashes: I have long, but very thin and pale lashes. This mascara spreads them out like a fan and thickens them with NO CLUMPS! Every lash is defined, and the bottle is designed so the mascara is 'fighting' its way out of the tube - no extra mascara and no humps and clumps."

Choosing the right beauty booty is critical so you can A) find something that works for you and your features, and B) save money by ensuring you are making a good purchase.

MakeupAlley has graced the Internet for over 10 years. The website started out as a small group of beauty consumers and has since blossomed into one of the largest beauty social networks in the world. Millions of product reviews help consumers like you and me make the right purchase when it comes to our beauty booty.

MakeupAlley has a unique search system where you can browse through reviews of beauty products, filtering the review results by your age, skin color, eye color, hair color, skin type, etc. I have been using MakeupAlley since 2003, and all I can say is that it's beautiful ... If only MakeupAlley had an iPhone app ... I ALWAYS consult the users on MakeupAlley before I make a beauty purchase, and their reviews are correct 99.9% of the time.

I give the MakeupAlley website 4 out of 5 stars. If MakeupAlley had an iPhone app, I would have given MakeupAlley a perfect score.
