He Ain't Worth It
By Akilia, age 14, Oklahoma
Lost and alone, never to be with him, hidden behind the stone, set in a rock and hit with a fist, as they argue and fight in spite of all they've been through, best friends to the end, what they were supposed to be, now that they're done. He has no idea which one he wants to be with. Why couldn't he have picked me? That's all in the past. I've lost a friend, and now I know not to fight over any men - it's not worth it.She knows she shouldn't have, but she did it, and he isn't with it, and now he's so full of a bottomless pit of the mess I've put up with. And now as I try to pick up the pieces, put them back together, no need to be under the weather, that's how the saying goes - you've made your bed, so lie in it.
Rissa, I love you, but you gotta stop acting like such a hoe. Be a woman and man up - you ain't no young buck. We're fourteen and no guy should ever get between us, so let's stop all this fuss. We're way too good for him, and you know it, so girl, we have to show it.
Be true - let's each be us, okay? Love never knows or shows any limit. Till you can see who you are I'm gonna be real and be me, so I can follow up and be free. Haters can't hate on me. I'm real, so be true blue and stop spreading lies, and be you.
