After the Rain
By Catherine, age 25, England, United Kingdom
Piercing through the dark sky a subtle rainbow brought with it warmth,An upside down smile with promises of brighter days,
Desist ye chilliness, at least for a little,
Storms be sedated it is time to settle,
A grasp clenched round my hand,
And brought not with it wounds,
Drifting through the abyss of safety,
Void of boundaries of pain,
An upside down smile promising brighter days,
Readjustment.
