Right Back to School
By Tanya, age 14, Alabama
Waking up every morning to go to school is not so great,
And however hard I try, I'm always late!
Grabbing my homework off the table,
Taking a test in math to make my grade stable.
Classes fly by; there's no time to look at the clock,
In Language Arts, I'm having writer's block!
Got to bring my science textbook to class,
I need it to learn about mass!
In gym we're doing Zumba and dancing to the beat,
It is locker check tomorrow; make sure that it's neat!
Three years of junior high was a piece of cake,
Look out, high school; here we come, for goodness sake!
