Guy Movies

Ladies, sometimes we lose the battle; instead of getting to view the yummy Channing Tatum in
The Vow, we're finagled into seeing a guy movie by our date or male friends. It's good to compromise and not drag your guy to every rom/com playing this season, but how do you know which action films are most bearable? Fortunately for you (but not so lucky for me), I saw several "dude" movies and can dish on which are okay as well as one to probably steer clear of.
Red Tails. My dad was a Navy fighter pilot, so maybe I found this tale of black pilots during World War II more interesting than the average girl might. Still, there was even a little romance between one pilot and an Italian local. I'd advise girls to go with this flick rather than gamble on something they've never heard of.

Star Wars: Episode 1. I happen to be a Star Wars fan and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sci-fi film on the big screen (in 3D, no less). Most people already know if they're into this kind of movie, but a friend of mine who saw it for the first time liked it when she thought she wouldn't, so you may be surprised! There's not much romance in this movie, though. You'll have to stay tuned for the Han Solo/Princess Leia action.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. If your boyfriend is determined to see this one, you should probably offer to let him have a guys' night with his friends. This movie was terrible; not even my date liked it! According to him, it disrespected the Marvel comic. According to me, we should have opted for bowling.
