Why I Work with SDM: Sweet Designs Magazine appeals to me for a number of reasons. After reading the articles, columns and different things young girls bring to it, I wanted to be a part of helping and sharing with all the younger generations of girls, and even maybe learning something from them as well. As I told Stephanie, SDM is something I wish was available to me as a young girl that I could have been a part of. It's definitely something positive and re-enforcing for girls, and I'm all for that.

Activities, Sports, Interests: I love going to concerts, hanging out with friends, and shopping. I love trying new activities and foods. In the winter I like to snowboard, and I recently took up tennis. I play the piano in my downtime. I love fashion and design, as well as photography. Gwen Stefani is an idol of mine; her fashion in unstoppable! Her style is hers and hers alone; she's a true icon. She can never be replicated.

Favorite Authors: Chuck Pahlunik, Stephenie Meyer, Jeff Lindsay, Robin Schwarz.

Favorite School Subjects: In college they were Digital Photography and Marketing. In High School they were Home Economics, Earth Science and TV Production.

Favorite Movies & TV Shows: My all-time favorite movie is The Wizard Of Oz. The movie is never the same twice for me. I always learn something about it every time and notice new things. I love the story line and characters. Someone once wrote about the movie that "There's no place like home" is the most bogus line in Hollywood. Home for Dorothy was a black-and-white dust bowl of a place, and Oz was technicolor. She meets three great friends along her journey, and through each other they learn that all the things they want to be, they already are. Had Dorothy never left home and had the experiences she did, she never would've met these friends and grown as a person. There are so many messages in the movie; it's a timeless classic.

My favorite TV show is Dexter. It's a dark comedy about a serial killer who only kills other serial killers, a type of 'dark' hero. His story is incredible, and the show keeps me on my toes. I love that!

I listen to: Many, many different kinds of artists. I listen to anything from Reggae to Pop to Punk to Classical and Rap. Bob Marley, No Doubt, Coldplay, Bjork, The Cure, Citizen Cope, Duffy, Jeremy Enigk, Third Eye Blind, Radiohead, Beck, Moby, Kanye West, Kings Of Leon, Jeff Buckley, etc.

Most Important Values: Dignity and loyalty. No one is going to look after you, but you. Take care of yourself, hold your own value, stand up for yourself, and do what's best for your well being. Never let anyone make you feel like you don't deserve something you want. Hold onto your head and your values, and stay true to those you love and yourself. Never lose sight of who you are.

I enjoy: Being in my element. I feel happiest in the water or on a beach. Being creative, being with good friends, seeing a band I love live, sitting by a fire or just being with family. Just having a good time. I like the simple things in life. That's what life's about.

Future Plans: In the future, I hope to be working for a company doing advertising (copywriting). I hope to be able to take care of myself and provide for myself, especially in this tough economy we are treading through right now. Eventually someday I hope to be happy, have a family, and the white picket fence every girl dreams of. But these plans are very far off for now. I have a lot of aspirations I want to take on before I settle down.

What I'm All About: Caring for those around you, especially those you cherish and love. Life is too short to take anyone who means something to you for granted. We all need each other, and friendships are incredibly powerful. Let people you love know it. You never know how much impact you could have on someone by just being their friend. Friendships will also follow you throughout your life when you least expect it. Someday later in life you may need them or they might be the one who connects you to opportunities. Friendships are the key to life.

A Favorite Quote: "Everything I'm not makes me everything I am."
