Canadian actor, now singer and rapper Drake, has quickly become hip hop's newest phenomenon. With the release of his CD Thank Me Later, the hottest Young Money member managed to sell 462,989 units during his first week, according to Hits Daily Double.

Aubrey Drake Graham, who starred in the television show Degrassi: The Next Generation, was born on October 24, 1986. The 23 year old singer was widely heard when his 2009 mix tape So Far Gone dropped hits such as "Best I've Ever Had" and "Successful", featuring Trey Songz. Drake's music career involves two other mix tapes which were released in 2006 and 2007 called Room for Improvement and Comeback Season. The well anticipated album Thank Me Later, which was released on June 15, 2009, contains 14 tracks with collaborations featuring Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, T.I, Nicki Minaj and Jay Z.

Thank Me Later was given to me as a gift by my brother about 5 days ago. I was extremely excited when he surprised me during a visit back home. Although I knew most of the songs within the album because they were leaked on the internet, I enjoyed listening to it as a whole. My favorite songs include "Fireworks", featuring Alicia Keys, "Fancy", featuring T.I. and Swizz Beats, and "Find Your Love".

Each track has a different vibe and feel to it. "Fireworks" goes on to him rapping about different subjects, from his relationship and involvement with rapper Lil Wayne, founder of Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records, to his success. "Fancy" is decorated well with the voice of Swizz Beats singing the chorus and Drake & T.I. as the hooks. This song describes a woman who is well put together, independent, and doesn't need a man to be complete. Drizzy Drake goes on to "Find Your Love", produced by hip hop mogul Kanye West, which talks about the chance he took with this woman whom he has not forgotten.

Overall, I loved Thank Me Later for many different reasons. I truly liked the fact that I can relate somehow to each and every song. I thought his lyrics were very expressive and catchy. He always has a message to put out within each track. My favorite thing about Drake is that he sings and raps with his soul about both his past and present. I give Thank Me Later a 5 star rating (of a possible 5) and would like to Thank Drake Now, for creating such a raw and vibrant album.

Whether you decide to buy the hard copy, or purchase an online version, you'll be sure to get your money's worth. You can purchase Thank Me Later at your nearest record store or online through iTunes. Enjoy!
