November gets awfully chilly in some places, as autumn prepares to make its exit and winter waits impatiently in the wings. I think of hot apple cider, fleece blankets, raking up crunchy brown oak leaves, and completing some crocheted Christmas gifts. For this month's cover story, I interview Bernadette of Luna Cab Co., age 24 from California, maker of hand knit accessories for both women and men. I encourage you to read this interview and also search our Previous Articles section for past interviews of successful young women - authors, journalists, crafters, fashion designers, and businesswomen, interviewed by myself and members of our writing staff. Gaining insights from others' experiences can be helpful in discovering your own road to success.
In fact, our November issue contains three interviews. Melisa (Belgium) interviews Griffin Rising author Darby Karchut, and Shanice interviews popular author HP Mallory. These interviews are well written and will be of interest to fans and prospective authors.
Speaking of interviews, Candace offers some truly helpful advice for job seekers on "How to Ace a Skype Interview." Kate (NH) has her "Five Year Plan" in place ... subject to change, of course. And Cindy (TX) offers a particularly worthwhile plan and advice when "Choosing Colleges."
I conclude with this month's Editor's Picks - 3 must-read November features. Anne (FL) returns with a thunderous bang with her short story "After It Rains." Rachel tells her remarkable Real Life tale about "My 'Other Dad.'" And Sara (PA) pens an all-too-real (but fictional) story titled "Through the Eyes of a Bully."
The November issue of Sweet Designs Magazine greets the colder weather with fall fashions to keep you warm and cool stories to warm your heart.
Enjoy the issue!
