Why I Write for SDM: I write for Sweet Designs Magazine to educate young women and to fulfill my passion for writing. I write for SDM to share one thing that I believe we all need as young women, which is hope.

Activities, Sports, Interests: I am involved as a volunteer with the Molly Bish Child Advocacy Center. I am a 1st grade teacher and a lector at my parish of St. Bridget of Kildare. I'm also co-leader of the youth group Bridget's Branches. I am currently taking classes to earn my Graduate Certificate in Victim Advocacy. The sport that I live and breathe is Irish Step Dance. As far as watching sports, I enjoy watching football. I am a die-hard Giants fan! My interests include writing and reading. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and just having fun.

Favorite Authors: My favorite author is Jodi Picoult.

Favorite School Subjects: My favorite subject while I was in school was English. I am admittedly an English Nerd.

Favorite Movies & TV Shows: My favorite television shows are Judging Amy, Law and Order SVU, Law and Order, Bones, America's Most Wanted, 48 Hours, and Disappeared. Admittedly, I am also currently addicted to the show Dance Moms. My favorite movie will always be Mulan.

I listen to: Soft rock and contemporary Christian music.

Most Important Values: My most important values center around faith, family respect for every person, place, and thing.

I enjoy: I enjoy life to the absolute fullest. I enjoy volunteering. I enjoy my time with my family and friends, but I also value my "me time."

Future Plans: My future plans include earning my Certificate in Victim Advocacy, finishing my last two classes and earning my Masters in Pastoral Youth Ministry, and finding a job in the advocacy field.

Favorite Quotes: "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' The danger lies in refusing to face the fear, in not daring to come to grips with it. If you fail anywhere along the line, it will take away your confidence. You must make yourself succeed every time. You must do the thing you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt, You Learn By Living (1960), pp. 29-30

"Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Ghandi

"Always do right; this will gratify some people and astonish the rest." - Mark Twain
